In this world that we live in, I find it amazing that most people have a special talent (even if they are not aware of it themselves), but certain people that you meet have more than one special talent. I’m very lucky that the incredibly talented Nicola, my son’s Partner and the mother of two of my lovely grandchildren, is one of those people. Not only is she a brilliant mother, a superb cook, possesses an incredible brain but now she is turning into an amazing photographer.
Nicola’s Food Photography is amazing, but she is now branching out into street photography and just about anything she finds worthy of snapping. Have a look at these pictures taken at the Leyburn Food Festival a few weeks ago on a family outing (with comments from Nicola).

“Tasty bruschetta from Salts who used to have a small deli shop in Leeds and was a favourite of mine for lunch, but now they focus on just catering.”
“And Salt’s puddings! I used to love treating myself when they were in Leeds.”
“These focaccia looked and smelled delicious from Tomkinsons Bakery.”
“We were in our element with all these flavoured oils and mayonnaises from Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil.”
“It’s a shame we had already bought brownies from Salt’s because these looked fabulous and there were loads of flavours to choose from at Brown and Blond.”
“Mmmm, Baileys cake slices – if only I wasn’t trying to lose weight! (I’m not sure whether these were Forever Fudge or Heavenly Chocolate).”
“It was very busy in the food tent. But outside there were things to entertain the kids, like these vintage boat swings.”
“Morris dancers (which we’d just missed) and lots of hay! And here’s a nice picture of Archie.”
Must say I’m impressed by Nicola’s food photography at the Leyburn Food Festival, and I’m looking forward to seeing more, and hopefully puttting it up here on on site. What a talented lady she is (and a great Mum as well).
